Ryan's started in 2018 with a simple idea that Kenyan families deserved nutritious, convenient porridge without hours in the kitchen. What began as a university concept became a KEBS-certified product in 2023, incubated at KIRDI.

How to Make It

Step 1 ยท Porridge flour

Mix the flour

Add 3โ€“4 tablespoons of Ryan's Uji Mix into a cup or bowl (250ml). Add at least 1 teaspoon of sugar if desired.

Form a smooth paste

Add ยฝ cup cold water or milk. Stir well until you form a smooth, soft paste โ€” no lumps!

Add heat gradually

Gently pour in hot water or milk a little at a time, stirring continuously to your desired consistency.
